On this day every March much of the world goes green. Not eco green, but Irish green. They celebrate a man who is called by the Catholic Church a Saint, but he was neither Catholic or a Saint by their standards. He did not rid Ireland of its snakes, he did not work magic, or do many miracles as they say. He did however do some of the most amazing work of anyone in his day. After being taken as a slave to Ireland he escaped, trusted Christ as his Savior, forgave them, and went back as a missionary. Not just any missionary, history records he planted over 300 churches and saw over 100,000 converts to Christ. Now that is worthy of celebration. So today I celebrate Patrick the Planter of Churches, the Missionary to Ireland.
